The Society is totally committed to those ends by:
- Promoting the breeding and exhibiting of quality Irish Wolfhounds.
- Giving help and encouragement to new owners of the breed
- Acknowledging and addressing any health problems, particularly of an hereditary nature.
- Holding Breed and Judging Seminars
Each year a magazine is produced, distributed to all members, containing varied articles of interest to all Irish Wolfhound owners.

| Regional Heart
Testing Dates for 2012 can be found on the Irish Wolfhound Health Group website Exciting News from the IWHG! Calling all super veterans - your breed needs you! This year, the IWHG has agreed to subsidise the cost of heart testing all veterans 8 years and over in order to meet the urgent needs of the breed specific heart and osteosarcoma research programmes. All veterans will be required to provide DNA samples for these projects as well as attend an IWHG Regional Heart Testing Session, all very simple and straightforward and at no cost to the owners. If you have a veteran that you would like to include, please contact Rebecca Peek milkwoodhounds@yahoo.co.uk, 07860 142867. Your Golden Oldie will be making an invaluable contribution. Thank you. |
