The Rally was held on Sunday, June 29th at Shenstone Village Hall, nr. Lichfield in Staffordshire. It was a beautiful sunny day and a good crowd turned up to enjoy all the events that were on offer. The organiser this year was Cindy Hutchinson, who had put in a huge amount of work to make everything run smoothly. The Society provided drinks throughout the day, and a vast array of cakes at the end of the afternoon.

The day started at 11.00 a.m. and the first events of the day were the fun Match, with classes such as waggiest tail, hairiest legs, and so on, and events such as an egg and spoon race and getting your dog to sit on your lap - not the easiest task with an adult wolfhound!

There were not enough tables to put out all of the breed history display, but a large part of it was on show in the main hall. There was also a Tombola, with a huge array of prizes, which proved extremely popular.

After the lunch break, an auction was held which raised the wonderful sum of £234 for the Heart Research Fund. This was followed by the Match, which was judged by Diane Redfern (Rainster). The winner of Best in Match was the Stirling's Milly.
